Mr. Laxmi Sagar is an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Forest Science, College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology by Research from the College of Natural Resources, as well as a Master of Science in Organic Agriculture and Agroecology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), His research interests span freshwater ecology, forest ecology, and biodiversity conservation, with a particular focus on understanding ecological interactions and their implications for sustainable resource management in Bhutan. He is committed to linking scientific inquiry with applied conservation practices that enhance ecosystem resilience and support sustainable livelihoods.
Mr. Sagar is actively involved in both teaching and research, contributing to capacity building and interdisciplinary learning in the environmental and forest sciences. His work promotes student engagement in field-based research and the development of innovative ecological solutions to address emerging environmental challenges in the Himalayan region.
